From the bright yellow and orange hair to the glittering shoes, the Meadham Kirchhoff Autumn Winter 2012 show at London Fashion Week was nothing short of crazy - as if we could expect anything else! With sequins, glitter, tinsel and fur in sickly sweet shades, the collection is, as anticipated, every girly girl's dream.
Floaty midi and maxi length skirts with lace trims over patterned tights in a plethora of bright colours were seen in plenitude, along with cute button-up collared shirts layered underneath bright knits. Flashes of leopard, baroque and gingham prints were also present throughout, as well as adorable patches, badges and stitching on denim pieces.
Stand out pieces included a gold and silver tinsel jacket and maxi skirt, a rainbow sequinned suit, sequinned bodices over pretty blouses and of course the vivid fur coats and matching stoles.
This collection isn't the most wearable for everyone but it certainly provides copious amounts of super-cute, girly inspiration to keep us out of our safe, black wardrobes this upcoming autumn and winter. One stand-out piece, for example a brightly coloured fur coat, pair of tights or a delightful knitted jumper, would be a perfect way of lightening up any winter wardrobe, and I personally feel that the glitter shoes in every colour are a must!
