I saw this dress in H&M and immediately went for it. I love the luxe looking satin top half, flattering silhouette and very retro vibes of the zip. I decided to take tonal colours and run with them after realising that my hair matched the dress quite well, and paired it with a Glamorous burgundy faux fur coat and red lips - I would have quite liked to wear burgundy boots too, but as my coat wasn't a solid colour I thought that black was more appropriate (plus, I didn't have any burgundy boots). I also wanted to wear this dress without my coat all day, but the temperatures have been close to unbearable for standing around in for longer than 5 minutes, so that sadly wasn't an option.
The lovely Portia took these photos for me at Somerset House, do take a look at her blog for some really stunning backstage snaps from London Collections: Men and I'm sure plenty of great shots from LFW to follow.
On my first day of fashion week, Friday, I had a lovely breakfast with Missguided (despite the fact that Zoe and I slept straight through our alarm for a whole hour and so were embarrassingly late, which I'm still ashamed about) and saw shows from Eudon Choi, Bora Aksu, Felder Felder and Jean-Pierre Braganza, and without a scrap of regret missed out on PPQ in favour of a burger. More on those, and the collections I didn't get to see in the flesh, to follow! Thoughts on this outfit?
