Thinking back to the days when I first discovered lookbook.nu and snagged myself an invite to the then invite-only community; I used to spend hours scrolling wistfully through all the incredibly cool Swedish girls in their effortlessly minimal outfits in stunning locations. Not much has changed really! Although us mere mortals from the UK and elsewhere have caught up a little, there is something about Scandinavian girls' style that always seems ahead of the curve, yet without pandering to each and every passing trend. Inspired by this minimal aesthetic and trying my absolute hardest to look effortless (oh the tragic irony), I chose a few pieces from Urban Outfitters: I'm wearing this teddy coat(which you've seenbefore), super cool wheat coloured (?) sleeveless knit, and holy grail of pleated schoolgirl skirts by UNIF. I chose very neutral shades to pair with black, as a contrast against my now very bright hair and matching lips. I quite wanted to do this outfit with bare legs but it was bitterly cold so that was out of the question, although it's definitely one I'm looking forward to wearing in the warmer weather. It also looks great with big chunky boots - I'm definitely going to be getting lots of wear out of all these pieces! Thoughts?
