Short answer: yes! Teeth whitening is something I've never really dabbled in, but I do drink an awful lot of coffee and so when Smile Brilliant
offered me the chance to try out one of their kits, I wanted to give it a go...
Firstly, you make impressions of your teeth. This is easier than it sounds, using the items provided and following the instructions in the kit. Get this sent off to Smile Brilliant, and they'll send you back the kit pictured below, including trays which will be a perfect fit for your teeth. THIS means that, unlike with standard whitening strips, the whitening gel will cover all of your teeth, even if they aren't perfectly straight.
The whitening process itself is even easier, and by that I mean that as a ~first time whitener~, I didn't mess it up. The kit comes with a number of tubes of whitening gel, which you squeeze into the trays and leave on for as long as you wish. On my first time, I left the gel on for around 1 hour - there was a slight tingling, but it wasn't at all painful.
As you can see from the photos, just one go at whitening made a big difference, without leaving me with that false and slightly blinding TV white look. I have been keeping up the whitening on a weekly basis, but if you do want the *very* white look you can definitely achieve this with more frequent application.
The Smile Brilliant kit is more expensive than standard whitening strips (£80 for the trays and three syringes of whitening gel, which will do 9-12 whitening sessions), but once you have the trays you can repurchase the gels at £23 for three, all in all considerably cheaper than having the same process with custom trays done by a dentist plus
you can do it from the comfort of your bathroom, sofa, bed, etc. If yellowing teeth is something that bothers you, I do think that Smile Brilliant is worth investing in - go here
to buy, and let me know what you think if you do!
