The Corduroy Circle Skirt is one of American Apparel's most well known items, but BooHoo.com's new '
Cindy Cord Skater Skirt' is giving it a run for its money! The American Apparel skirt (pictured above left) comes in nine colours, ranging from size XS to L (roughly UK 6-14) and retails at £40 here in the UK, whereas BooHoo's 'Cindy' (pictured above right and below) is a mere £18 (or £14.40 with their 20% student discount!). BooHoo's skirt only comes in 4 colours, however with basic black and dupes of American Apparel's most popular colours camel (tan) and truffle (wine) covered, as well as a bold pink, I don't personally see this as a huge con. The only issue I personally have with BooHoo's version is the range of sizes - they only go down to a UK 8 which they describe as a 26cm waist, which sadly with a skirt like this is an essential measurement to get right. Unfortunately for plus size ladies, both versions only go up to a UK 14, which also sucks. HOWEVER, I still think that the BooHoo dupe is a real bargain at £18 and if they had a wider range of sizes I would 100% be making a purchase! I'm still tempted to buy one anyway and belt it... oops!
Does anyone own the BooHoo Cindy skirt yet? Does it look as great in person? Let me know your thoughts :-)
